Volunteers from the Scientology Community Centre Dublin brought drug-prevention education to the Clondalkin Festival in Ireland, sharing factual information with families, young people and local residents in a busy community setting.
During the event, volunteers offered free drug-education booklets and spoke with members of the public about the importance of early prevention. The outreach focused on factual information rather than alarm, helping people discuss a difficult subject in a calm and practical way.
The initiative formed part of the wider Truth About Drugs programme, a secular educational campaign supported internationally by Scientologists and community volunteers. Its materials are designed to provide clear information on drugs and their effects, helping individuals make informed decisions.
The Church of Scientology supports this campaign as part of its wider social-betterment work inspired by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, whose writings placed emphasis on education, personal responsibility and practical help for society.
According to Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, community-based prevention is closely linked to European values of responsibility and human dignity. “Families and young people benefit when information is made accessible before harm occurs,” he news eu farmers said.
